Kyron Horman, Terri Horman, Kaine Horman, Desiree Young / Comments...

There are a lot of interesting comments recently which seemed to accentuate the very divisive nature of the Kyron Horman case.

The only apparent area of quasi-agreement among the public is regarding the law enforcement investigation, and that those efforts have been botched – perhaps from the beginning.  That’s, of course, hard to say with certainty.  But, I tend to be sympathetic with the readers who feel that way.

I started out with those who were supportive of Terri Horman.  I’ve been, from past experience and training, instilled with the professional concept that individuals are innocent until proven otherwise in a court of law.  I still subscribe to that philosophy, but this blog is an opinion piece.  And, as time went on, Terri’s position became, in my mind, less credible.  In a way, I’m amazed at how vehemently some still defend her.

Now, it is conceivable that the comments I've received in her defense are coming from a very small cadre of Terri intimates.  Could be, I suppose.  However, some readers just may be dedicated to the proposition that Terri is entitled (which she is) to her day in court.

Regarding Kaine Horman and/or Desiree Young, it appears that most have formed an opinion about them also.  I suppose that I have too.  And, I suppose that we can say with some degree of conviction that Kyron’s family life, if not particularly unusual in this day and age, was less than one would hope for a child.  Is every broken home a negative for children?  Certainly not.  But, I think that most would agree that the Horman family had a lot of conflicting, even troublesome, aspects.

Where this is all going, I cannot say.  I hope we will see a solution, at least tangible progress, in the near future.  Ultimately, Terri will have to put forth some sort of reasoning or legal argument to obtain custody, or even significant visitation, with her daughter.  Her other option is to simply walk away.  If that is her choice, I think it will speak volumes.

  1. Desiree walked away and never fought for Kyron.

Terri has visitation with Kiara and has not "walked away". She is doing what her attorney tells her to do.

Kristina Porter lawyered up immediately and never cooperated with LE not even for a month like Terri did.

You continue to believe the lies by Kaine and Desiree that the media has printed. Terri has said nothing and you judge her for it yet if she had said something, you would have called her a liar.

When the truth comes out, you will be shown to be the fool that you are.

  2. Oh dear, True Nelson, you've gone and done it again by giving your own views and thoughts on your own site brought wrath down upon yourself: "... you will be shown to be the fool that you are."

  3. Silence doesn't speak volumes whenever a lawyer is involved. Clients are very dependent on their lawyer's advice.

  5. You are right about one thing concerning Terri poster above, she is doing what her lawyer tells her and that is to keep her mouth shut. Not to incriminate herself. Her silence does speak volumes, there are no laws for adultery in Oregon and unless Terri is hiding from tax evasion what other crime is she keeping silent for??

  6. Total lie that Desiree walked away. Kaine made it clear it was not an option, not even just before Kyron went missing, that Desiree could take custody of Kyron. Very interesting that he would prefer a manipulative vile woman like TH care for Kyron instead of Desiree. I assume he did not want to pay the child support. James is sent away and I think he holds the key to a lot of info, and I hope he was interviewed extensively as to the family life.
